All About Texting and Driving

Text messages are brief messages which are often limited to 160 characters and can be sent from one cell phone to another. This ability to be able to send short messages has been embraced by millions of people wordwide ("The Dangers of Texting While Driving"). Most drivers admit they have texted and drove before but do not understand the dangers of texting while driving. Many Drivers who use hand-held devices are four times more likely to be involved in a collision serious enough to cause injury ("BRIEF"). 2,600 traffic deaths are caused each year by drivers using their cellphones and about 570,000 accidents leading to minor and serious injuries caused by cellphone use in the car mostly by texting while driving ("Driven to Distraction") Texting and driving is not worth the risk of hurting your life or others.
